With aging and the forces of gravity, the eyebrows start to descend, leading to drooping in the upper eyelids. Horizontal creases that form on the forehead and vertical lines between the eyebrows can make a person appear angry, stressed, or unapproachable.
How is Endoscopic Brow Lift Surgery Performed?
The first step is a thorough consultation with Dr. Kahng to discuss your concerns, aesthetic goals, medical history, and expectations. You will have a chance to go over any and all questions and hear the details of the procedure.
Once the surgery begins, you will be placed under general anesthesia by an expert anesthesiologist. Dr. Kahng will then make a series of very short incisions just behind the hairline. An endoscope (a thin, lighted, optical instrument) is inserted through the incisions, which makes it possible to view the treatment area on a monitor. Through the incisions, Dr. Kahng will use extremely small surgical instruments to:
- Lift underlying tissue
- Reposition muscles of the forehead
- Create a natural-looking, fresher, more youthful brow and upper face appearance
